I travel. I notice. I design.

Every place leaves something behind with me—a color combination, a strange texture, the shape of a building, something somebody wore, a market stall, a landscape, or one tiny detail I refuse to forget. Eventually, it finds its way into something I design.

Women. Men. Doesn’t matter.

If I can imagine it walking through an airport, stepping off a train, disappearing down some street we probably weren’t supposed to take, I’ll design it.

This is where those observations become wearable design.

Each RUDE Design File begins with an original fashion concept inspired by somewhere we’ve been, something I’ve seen, or something that made me stop and stare. I translate that inspiration into a downloadable sewing pattern and garment-making guide designed to help you bring the piece into the real world.

No mass-produced closet. No waiting for me to manufacture your size. Just original womenswear and menswear designed on the road and made wherever you call home.

And yes, sometimes Rooted gets involved. Somebody has to wear the menswear before I release it into civilization.

The strange botanical creatures modeling my collections? They’re staying. Pampas, bamboo, wheat, raffia, reeds and whatever else I decide deserves a head that day. The clothes needed models. I had other ideas.
